About
The specialists behind a business that’s allowed to run.
Who we are
The HR Collective exists because being licensed to trade, properly staffed, and compliant with South African legislation is rarely one problem — it’s several, and they usually land on a business owner’s desk at the same time.
We work across four specialist areas — liquor licensing, labour law, recruitment, and payroll — because that’s genuinely what running a compliant, well-staffed business in the Western Cape requires. Rather than referring clients elsewhere every time a different kind of problem comes up, we handle it directly, with people who understand how these areas actually connect.
Our approach
We favour advice a business can actually act on over advice that reads well in a report. Compliance work is judged on whether it holds up when it’s tested — an inspection, a CCMA hearing, a renewal under scrutiny — not on how it looks on paper beforehand. That standard shapes how we work across every division, from a liquor licence application to a disciplinary process.
Employment and licensing matters ultimately involve real people and real businesses, not abstractions. We keep that in view, while making sure every recommendation still makes commercial sense for the business making it.

Managing Director
The HR Collective is a direct, hands-on operation — every engagement is handled personally, without layers between you and the person doing the work. That’s deliberate: it means faster answers, and advice that’s accountable to one person, not diluted across a large team.
